cooking class experience

The cooking classes started in 2014 and allow us to share our passion and love of food. For Nepali women, the kitchen is the heart of the home and it gives them a great sense of pride to share their culture and traditions.

Participate in a traditional cooking class full of fun and flavour. In the class, you’ll make traditional Nepalese Cuisine, momos, discover secret recipes, and learn about Nepalese culture from your local host. Our cooking classes are also offered online.

inCLUSIONS:

• Sungabha Nepal live cooking instruction (in person or Online)

• Nepalese Cuisine set or Momo vegetarian recipe to cook with (meat optional)

• All ingredients are provided for at the in-person class. For online classes, an ingredient and instruction sheet is emailed before the class for preparations.

In person cooking class:

• Duration: 2-2.5 hours in person

• Location: Sungabha Nepal Centre, Ranibari, Samakhushi, Kathmandu, Nepal.

• Minimum 1 person maximum 25 participants in one booking.

• Please book atleast 3 days before the cooking class.

NEPALI CraftS experience

Participation in this workshop will give you an insight into how long it takes to gain these skills and will give the women an opportunity to pass on their new knowledge with confidence.

In this workshop our women will pass on the skills that they have learnt by teaching you how to make a traditional craft product that you can take home with you.

HIGHLIGHTS

Class DESCRIPTION

These classes will give you a ‘crash course’ in the key phrases you need to get by in Nepal. Not only will you no longer have to pay ‘tourist price’ to the local taxi drivers but you will be able to travel at ease knowing that, where necessary, you can communicate your needs. A little bit of Nepalese will enable you to build everlasting friendships here in Nepal.

Join us for a 'Basic Nepali lesson for travelers' led by our team member and learn all you need to know to start conversing with the locals which will enrich your stay in Nepal.
